"Fire officials said that a package was found at the Star Market on 448 Washington St. Police cordoned off a section of Washington Street running from Abbott Road past the grocery store as the bomb squad investigated the package, police said. NewsCenter 5’s Jorge Quiroga reported that a second suspicious package was also left behind by a robber who held up a Bank of America located at 342 Washington St. The bank, which FBI detectives said was robbed at about 4:00 p.m., is located less than a mile away from the Star Market."

These surveillance photos of the robbery was taken by Bank of America.

"Investigators released a series of photos taken by a surveillance camera inside the bank that show a masked man holding a gun during the robbery. The man is also wearing a dark jacket, gloves and a hat. It is unknown whether there is a connection between the two packages. The bank and several surrounding buildings were evacuated after the robbery. Representatives from Bank of America said that no customers or employees were harmed during the robbery. At a news conference on Thursday evening, police said both devices were detonated. There has been no evaluation to determine if they were actual explosives or hoax devices, police said. The suspect, who is still at large, stole an undetermined amount of money from the bank, according to police."

"Officials said that Washington Street was reopened to traffic at about 7:30 p.m. following the incidents. Investigators would not comment on whether there was any connection between the package found at the Star Market and the package left at the scene of the bank robbery. Jeff Fine, a witness in Wellesley who heard about the device at the Star Market, reported that he saw several police officers heading from the Star Market toward the bank after the second device was discovered."
